A communication component was put in place to facilitate an efficient flow of information between the partners. It will also serve to ensure the transfer of the know-how and knowledge developed by the project, and to connect with forest communities across Québec, throughout Canada and around the world.
In terms of training, three specific clienteles are targeted: school dropouts, unemployed forest workers aged 55 +, and the members of the Manawan Atikamekw community. The objective of this component is to facilitate their integration in a stimulating working environment, and to provide the forest-based businesses with a well trained and motivated workforce, ready to take up the challenges of innovation.
Special training sessions will also be offered to partners who will be directly involved in field-based operational trials.
