Besides the Canadian Forest Service, eighteen public, private and co-op organizations have a stake in the Le Bourdon Project. All participants are active in either resource use and development, research, training, regional economic development land use management., or in the cooperatives sector.
L’Association des intervenants forestiers des Hautes-Laurentides (AHL)
Signatory of Le Bourdon Project Funding Agreement, the AHL was incorporated as a non-profit corporation in 1985. Its membership includes eleven forest companies operating in the Hautes-Laurentides (of which eight are holders of timber harvesting tenures). Their expertise is development and utilization of timber resources.(Located in Mont-Laurier)

Municipalité Régionale de Comté (M.R.C.) d’Antoine-Labelle
The MRC is a public body with full municipal jurisdiction over the unorganized territories within the forest management unit. Established in 1983, this MRC includes seventeen municipalities and a huge unorganized area which accounts for two-thirds of its area. The 2006 census registered over 35 000 permanent residents. The MRC covers 15 658 km2, which represents 73% of the total Laurentian region. This vast region, dotted lakes and rivers and mountains is a paradise for vacationers and recreationists alike. Régionale des ZECS Hautes-Laurentides
This non-profit organization regroups representatives from the six ZECs (Fish and wildlife special management zones) in the Hautes- Laurentides region. Together they oversee the management of fish and wildlife resources over 4183 km2. (Located in Mont-Laurier)
Laurentian Outfitters Association (LOA)
Member of the Québec Outfitter Federation, the LOA is a non-profit organization which groups together 42 outfitters operating in the Laurentians. Sharing a profound attachment to the natural landscape of the region, the Association and its members want to develop the area, while improving public access. The Association has the mandate to represent its members and defend their collective interests towards governments and organizations which are stakeholders in the forest management and regional development. Québec Outfitters Federation (QOF)
The Federation is a non-profit organization recognized by the Québec government. It groups together 375 outfitters who share a profound attachment to the province’s wilderness and who share the common desire of developing it, while improving public access. The QOF’s mission is to represent its members and promote the collective interests of the outfitting industry in the context of sustainable development. This vast recreational network offers the widest variety of quality accommodation and services in Québec, not only for hunting and fishing, but also catering to families seeking a wilderness experience vacation. and to experienced outdoor enthusiasts who are seeking to practice their favourite sport. Centre Local de Développement de la MRC d’Antoine-Labelle
The CLD is a public body serving the MRC of Antoine-Labelle. Its mission is to promote the industry, tourism, agri-food and commercial sectors, and the social economy. (Located in Mont-Laurier)

FPInnovation, FERIC Division
The Forest Engineering Research Institute of Canada has for many years maintained a close partnership with forest managers in the Hautes-Laurentides region in their quest to develop new approaches to silviculture. (Located in Pointe-Claire)

Centre de formation professionnelle de Mont-Laurier (CFPML)
The CFPML training centre is recognized for its expertise in disciplines such as forest management, transformation and transport of forest products. It is also recognized for its ability to adapt its training programs to meet the specific needs of its clientele, which includes the Manawane Atikamekw Community and some business ventures. (Located in Mont-Laurier)
Table Forêt Laurentides
The mission of this organization is to promote the forest sector and its many trades, to develop awareness of the concept of sustainable development and the multiple uses of wood. It is also committed to the consolidation, augmentation and diversification of training programs, as well as employment opportunities in the forest sector. Within Le Bourdon Project, the Table Forêt Laurentides is responsible for communications.(Located in Mont-Laurier)

Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune du Québec

Québec Federation of Forestry Cooperatives
The Federation’s goal is to represent the interests of forest cooperatives across Québec, including the Forest Co-op of Hautes-Laurentides, and to offer them services to assist in their development. It strives to create favourable conditions for the development and growth of forestry co-ops, as well as improving their members’ working conditions. The Federation also intervenes on behalf of its members with governments and their crown corporations, forest industry and co-op stakeholders. (Located in Québec City)
Syndicat des producteurs forestiers de Labelle
A producer’s union whose role is to develop markets for wood products harvested in private forests. (Located in Mont-Laurier)

Laurentian Private Forest Regional Development Agency
A non-profit organization responsible for the implementation of the Financial Aid Program for the Development of Private Woodlots. The Agency is also responsible for the implementation of measures aimed at protecting and developing private woodlots. (Located in Mont-Laurier)
Ministère du développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation du Québec
The Department administers several programs including the Financial Aid to Single Industry Municipalities. It is also an active partner in the ACCORD Project. (Located in Saint-Jérôme)
Commission des ressources naturelles et du territoire des Laurentides
This Commission is a joint venture of the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune du Québec and the Ministère des Affaires Municipales et des régions. Its mandate is to censure the integration of different land and resource management regimes, and especially for the decentralisation of management authority to the regions. (Located in Mont-Laurier)

An organization dedicated to bringing together businesses involved in silviculture along with first, second and third wood product transformation, wishing to play an active role in the development of the niche of excellence called ‘ACCORD Bois des Laurentides. (Located in Mont-Laurier)

RIE-Forêt
In the context of the ACCORD Program, the Laurentian region has identified four centres of excellence, one of which is called ‘Development and Transformation of the Mixedwood Forest: Added Values Products’. In order to develop this centre of excellence Innovation and Experimentation Network, RIE-Forêt, (Réseau d’Innovation et d’Expérimentation opérationnelle – Forêt), focuses its attention on stimulating innovation and applying MBO (management by objectives) to all activities related to forest management and harvesting.
